Chemical Name: PEG-150 Distearate

General Applications:

Ester Ethoxylates are used in a wide variety of applications; they have been developed for use as solubilizers, refatting agents, emollients, emulsifiers and a moisturizers in many personal care and cosmetic formulations like Deodorants, Facial Cleansers, Facial Color Cosmetics, Liquid Handsoaps, Shampoos, Shaving Products, and Shower Gels/Body Washes. Ester Ethoxylates in general are known to clean the skin and hair by helping water to mix with oil and dirt so that they can be rinsed away.
Polyethylene Glycol Esters can be used in liquid soaps, as emulsifiers, pearlizers, stabilizers, solubilizers and viscosity control agents. They also find use in the metalworking, pulp and paper, textile, household and institutional industries.
Polyethylene Glycol Esters are excellent viscosity builder for aqueous and aqueous- alcoholic systems. They are naturally derived building block for gel formulations. A 5% solution forms a gel. They provide moisturization in skin care products and conditioning in ethnic hair care products.

Introduction:

Ester Ethoxylates are nonionic surfactants which are such as all kinds of other nonionic surfactants mixtures varying in the number of repeating ethoxy groups. The digit which is appeared after the name of KEST shows the average molecular weight of polyethylene glycol unit in the Ester Ethoxylates molecule.

Different grades:
KEST 150, KEST 308
