Introduction:
Tallowamine Ethoxylates are nonionic surfactants which are such as all kinds of other nonionic surfactants mixtures varying in the number of repeating ethoxy groups. The digit which is appeared after the name of KETALO shows the average number of ethylene oxide units in the Tallowamine Ethoxylates molecule. For example, KETALO-15 means a Tallowamine molecule which is reacted with average fifteen molecules of ethylene oxide.
Due to the amine group in these products, lowmole ethoxylates are cationic in nature; higher-mole ethoxylates exhibit typical nonionic characteristics such as cloud point and compatibility with anionic surfactants.
General Applications:
Tallowamine Ethoxylates are used in a wide variety of applications; they have been developed for use as emulsifer for a variety of pesticide formulations. They can be used alone or in combination with other surfactants. Tallowamine ethoxylates adsorb strongly to most metal, fiber and mineral surfaces, which makes them useful as corrosion inhibitors, softeners, anti-static agents and adhesion promoters.
KETALO with high HLB could be a great nonionic emulsifier. It finds applications in leather and textile processing aids, paints, inks, cosmetics, petroleum products, metal treating, synthetic fiber manufacture and production of paper and plastic products as emulsifiers, dispersants, wetting agents and dye leveling agents. It is miscible with cationic and anionic surfactants and used as adjuvant in pesticide and herbicide formulation.
KETALO is stable in acidic and alkaline media.
