Kimyagaran Emrooz Chemical Industries Company is one of major Middle Eastern producers of Ethoxylates and Propoxylates with variety of applications. History

Established on 1994 in private sector by producing Polyethylene Glycols (PEGs) for Technical and Pharmaceutical consumption. Built on 20,000 Sq.m land at Shahid Babaei industrial zone of Arak city of Iran, neighboring big Iranian national industries such as Arak Petrochemical Company, Shazand Refinery and Power Plant.

After success in PEGs, the agenda was producing various ethoxylates such as Alkylphenol Ethoxylates, Fatty Alcohol Ethoxylates, etc. Therefore, majority of Iranian domestic market as well as Middle East's partial market dominated by Kimyagaran Emrooz Company.

Continuing with development, on 2007 succeeded to produce Propylene Glycol for the first time in the Middle East and on 2008 succeeded to produce Metronidazole the Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient.

Bitter incident, new beginning

Around 15:45 Sunday 26th May 2008, disaster stroke. A big explosion caused extensive fire at our neighbor factory. The wild devastating fire expanded to our factory and caused huge damage to our plant, destroyed buildings and equipments and caused unfortunate death of 5 of our best colleagues.

After the crisis, which could be one of major Iranian petroleum and petrochemical sector incidents in years, Kimyagaran Emrooz had valuable lesson learnt from the incident. Hence, Kimyagaran Company rebuilt itself better, safer and with higher standards. Today, Kimyagaran Emrooz Chemical Industries Company is a complex of safe, secure, beautiful and environmental friendly plants, serving variety of industries around the world.
